Does the pitch introduce the entrepreneurs and their role on the team?

Does the pitch identify a problem or a need?

Does the pitch identify their target market & explain how their business meets their needs or wants?

Innovative Ideas

Does the pitch describe how the product or service is new or different from others available?

Does the pitch explain the competitive advantage?

Design and Prototype

Does the pitch include at least one visual or prototype?

Does the visual help explain the purpose of the product or service?

Does the visual show the product’s features or demonstrate how the product or service works?

Market Research

Does the pitch include data about potential customers?

Does the pitch include how market feedback will be gathered?

Preparation Skills Criteria- Do the presenters:

Parking:

Ridesharing or hailing is encouraged. However, if volunteers plan to drive, they must provide their vehicle information (make, model, color, and license plate number) during registration to avoid being ticketed by St. Edward’s University. Volunteers may park in any unrestricted areas on campus.

About E2:

JA E2 is an incredible program opportunity for students to have the Austin entrepreneur experience while networking with inspiring and diverse professional role models, empowering them with self-confidence in their own abilities. E2 is designed to empower students to discover their future potential, continue developing their entrepreneurial mindset, meet new people, and build confidence while having fun!

The JA E2 experience kicks off in the classroom with JA It's My Business!® or JA Be Entrepreneurial® These programs introduce students to the process of design thinking as a problem- solving process and provides an authentic entrepreneurial experience for students with each session building toward a pitch competition.

On the day of the JA E2 field trip- Students are paired with mentors to help refine their presentation, practices public speaking, etc. The day concludes with a pitch competition and awards ceremony.

Where: St. Edward’s University, Ragsdale Center- Moody Dr, Austin, TX 78704

What: Students will continue their entrepreneurship and leadership journey working with coaches to perfect their pitches for the E2 pitch competition that same day.

Agenda:

8:00 AM- 9:15/30 AM Setup and Coaches arrive

10:15 AM Judges arrive

9:15/30 AM-10:40 AM Coaching, upon student arrival
