JA Company Program®
JA Company Program is a 13 week program that consist of students building and running their own REAL companies. Community volunteer mentors provide real-world guidance and experience to the student-led startup. Students will have an opportunity to apply for the EY Young Entrepreneurship Award and Scholarship. Winners receive $1000 scholarship and are invited to accept their award at the celebration event during the summer. Summer 2022 was hosted at ACL Live.
This hands-on educational experience empowers high school students to learn how to:
Fill a need or solve a problem in their community by starting and running businesses selling a product or a service.
Implement practical skills required to conceptualize, capitalize, and manage their own business venture.
Collaborate with team members.
Make crucial business decisions.
Communicate with multiple stakeholders.
Develop entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.

Professional volunteer mentor to teach JA’s proven curriculum and coach the students through their businesses
Robust support materials and training for teachers, including a pacing guide for semester-long implementation
Streamlined financial management with accompanying step-by-step, walk-through tutorial videosIncludes new, interactive, self-guided topics for sales, leadership and management, supply chain, finance, and marketing
